Grade 7 Mathematics focuses on the integration of social-emotional learning skills with mathematical processes. The curriculum includes number sense, operations, algebra, mathematical modeling, data literacy, spatial sense, and financial literacy. Students develop an understanding of numbers and their real-life applications, solve mathematical problems using operations, analyze patterns and relationships, apply coding concepts, engage in mathematical modeling, manage and analyze data, understand probability including independent and dependent events, apply geometric and spatial reasoning, make measurements, and develop financial knowledge. By the end of Grade 7, students acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to make informed financial decisions and apply mathematical concepts to various contexts.
